Lloyd Street Synagogue Visitor's CenterX

Orientation Exhibit: "The Synagogue Speaks." We worked closely throughout the project with a team of archaeologists, the Museum staff and exhibit design team to transform a dark, dank space prone to flooding into the gateway to the Synagogue's history. Since the theme of the exhibit was the history of the building, historical "windows" frame locations where the multi-layered materials let the building tell the story of itself. The exhibit text correctly states "Old buildings tell stories. If you look closely enough, peel back the layers, and absorb the atmosphere, the people who congregated here become more than figures from the past-they come alive."
